WILDFIRE, INC. PROVIDES LIGHT AND ARTWORK FOR NEWEST UNIVERSAL RIDE

June 14, 2004 LOS ANGELES – Wildfire Inc. of Los Angeles, California recently provided scenic artwork and specialized lighting for the Mummy’s Revenge rollercoaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The ride, based on Universal Pictures’ movie of the same name, is the fastest indoor rollercoaster and only one to employ forward and backward motion. Sand-filled tracks minimize car noise, so riders experience the full sound and special effects as the coaster hurtles through a pitch black tunnel, sudden drops, curves and sweeping turns, making its way to the depths of the cavernous tomb where the Mummy rests.

Working closely with Visual Terrain of Van Nuys, California, Wildfire provided its Effects Master Series fixtures combined with panels of artwork to make the Mummy appear in quick flashes, a spooky and thrilling part of the intense indoor coaster. Effects Master fixtures are high-powered linear fluorescent lighting that combine white and black lighting, controlled separately, and produce over 200% more light output than standard twin lamp fluorescent lighting units.

"We have been thrilled with the Wildfire fixtures," said Lisa Passamonte-Green, Project Designer for Visual Terrain, "and particularly the fact that they can strobe individually and at different rates made it a more exciting coaster experience." Visual Terrain specializes in design lighting for architectural and destination entertainment products.

John Berardi, Vice President at Wildfire, said, "We provided lighting for the original Mummy ride at Universal Hollywood, but having the opportunity to also contribute the artwork being lit on Mummy’s Revenge made it even more rewarding to see the final application."

Universal Studios is planning to open the new Mummy’s Revenge ride in Summer 2004.
